Jerk du Jour

The Not-so-nice-capades

And you thought the New York Rangers problems were only with playing hockey....

The New York Post is reporting Madison Square Garden officials encouraged underage Ranger cheerleaders to go out drinking with them, blasted them for being "the ugliest girls in the NHL," cut off their free cookies so they'd lose weight, and pushed for one to get a "boob job," their former captain claims.

Courtney Prince, 25, fired the slap shot against MSG and its owner, Cablevision, in filings with the federal Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, charging she was sexually harassed by an MSG exec and then essentially fired from the Rangers City Skaters.

Her lawyer, Kathleen Peratis, said in a letter to the EEOC that those allegations are just "the tip of the iceberg."

"Some of these skaters are as young as 18, and some of them were taken to bars regularly by older, married Madison Square Garden management employees," she wrote, adding that MSG cared more about "weight, breast size and sex appeal" than skating skill.

Golly - whoda figured that!!!

Reportedly Prince was out with an MSG exec and a reporter. She told The Post the exec hit on her and "put his open mouth on top of my mouth."

She "pulled away" but the exec "went on to list which girls he wanted to have sex with and how."

Prince left, and didn't report the incident because she feared for her job. But she warned her teammates about the executive. A month later, another exec suspended her for "accusing MSG personnel . . . of being sexual predators," the papers say, adding she hasn't been called back to work since.

Prince said she's coming forward now because another teammate told her she'd been harassed by the same exec who had harassed her.

Another skater, Amea Smith, told The Post that executives also made "sexually inappropriate" remarks to her and other dancers, but "most of the girls won't say anything because they're afraid of losing their jobs."

One shocking accusation huh?

Imagine! A guy hitting on cheerleaders! Never been a big fan of cheerleaders. First off -it's exploitation as far as I'm concerned and I find them distracting (ahem) and for the most part - lame.

But that doesn't mean anyone has the right to harass them in any way - except the fans of course. That's what these scantily clad girls are for isn't it? For the fans to ogle at in completely inappropriate ways - but always, always - in the spirit of the game...

Anyway - there's a candidate here somewhere. It's up to you to decide who is today's:
